This morning I was awakened about 2:30 am.  I laid there until 3:00, and when sleep didn't return, I got up, got my coffee and my Bible.

Most mornings I awaken with a song running through my mind, and this morning it was a song we are learning for Christmas, called "Majesty"!  The first time I heard it, it brought tears to my eyes and I thought, "how will I ever be able to perform this song without breaking down?" My friend Charlotte, told me that God would hold me together!

The lyrics are: "To You the nations bow down, To You creation cries out - Majesty.  All things you hold together - Your name shall stand forever - Majesty, You are Majesty - You are Majesty!"

I opened my Bible to Psalm 72:11 "Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him."  Psalm 72:17-19 His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun and men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him Blessed. Blessed by the LORD GOD, the God of Israel, who only does wonderous things! And blessed by His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen."

I did not thumb through it; I opened directly to this passage and tears started flowing.  The odds are enormous that I would turn directly to the passage from which the song was written. God was speaking to me and He got my attention!

#2  I flipped my Bible again, and opened to 1 Kings 18:37  "Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD GOD, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again."  This is the second week in a row that the LORD has given that scripture to me.

#3  Then God sent me to Job 40:7-8  "Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you and you shall answer Me: "Would you indeed annul My judgement and condemn Me that you would be justified?  Disperse the rage of your wrath; look on everyone who is proud, and humble him. Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low, tread down the wicked in their place. Hide them in the dust together bind their faces in hidden darkness. Then I will also confess to you that your own right hand can save you."

#4 Then I turned to Ezekiel 33:11  "Say to them: 'As I live, says the LORD GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die - '"

33:17  "Yet the children of your people say, 'The way of the LORD is not fair.'  But it is their way which is not fair!"

33:20 "Yet you say, 'The way of the LORD is not fair', - I will judge every one of you according to his own ways."

#5  Then I turned to Luke 6:48-49  "He is like a man building a house who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose the stream beat vehemently against that house and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."

I know I am a watchman, and this is what the Lord is speaking to me.

Yes, we are under judgment; each of us, and our whole nation collectively.  And who are we to say differently? We can not annul what He is doing, even if we say "He isn't" or "that's not fair" or "God wouldn't do that"!  He is doing this thing to turn us back to Him, but we have the choice to rebuild on the rock or the sand.  Anger and pride has gotten us to this place and unless we repent and humble ourselves we are lost. Once again we are being given the opportunity to humble ourselves and exalt Him.

The ruin of our house (our nation) was great, however we individually can rebuild on the rock, and we'd better get busy, for this is not the last of the storms that we are facing.

Even so - MARANATHA!
