Whose Side Are

Whose side are you on?

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ," (II Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV)

We are in a war for men's (mankind) souls!

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."(Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

The war is real and is in the spirit realm and we are in the thick of the battle every moment of everyday! 

There are no conscientious objectors in this war! There is no "sitting it out"! 

You are either for us (The Kingdom of God) or against us! That would put you in the camp of the kingdom of darkness!

You choose the side you are on by what comes out of your mouth! 

If you speak against a brother/sister, tearing them down instead of building them up, you are in the enemies camp! The thoughts that pop in your mind about a person, if not edifying are from the enemy designed to destroy them! THAT is why we are supposed to take every thought captive! 

You can have bad thoughts about yourself too, in which case you are like a suicide bomber! Your words do not only destroy others, but also yourself!

Our words can slowly kill or they can have immediate devastating results; even changing one's course for a lifetime!

Gossip or even just idle conversation discussing another, even "done in love", if not building someone up, will be destructive in the spirit realm! 

Words have power! 

God SPOKE WORDS and created all we see! 

Words spoken go on forever, until they accomplish their purpose! They are missiles for either good or bad! They fortify or destroy!

Understand?

Watch your mouth!

My prayer today: 

Father God, please change my heart to understand the power behind the words I speak and open my ears to hear what I say! Let me be aware of their intentions. Let the words that I speak and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight! Make me conscious of my every idle word and put a guard over my tongue so that I am not a weapon for evil! I repent and choose to take every thought captive, in obedience to Christ! Let me be an instrument for good, played only by You! In Jesus' precious name! Amen!
