Several Times Recently

Several times recently, I've heard friends say, "I'm done!"

My heart breaks for those who are at the end of their rope. (Been there, done that.)

Actually, it is a very good place to be!

When I hear "I'm done", I'm reminded of the following scripture: “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Oh, if they were even close in meaning.

One can lead to another, though. It depends on which way you swing on your rope, when you let go; towards death or towards life.  When you are at the end and don't have the strength to climb up or even keep hanging; who you listen to, who you cry out to, will determine, where you drop, when you do let go.

Isaiah, after coming face to face with God, realized how bankrupt he was. He had absolutely nothing to offer God. All he could do is cry out, fall on his face, and beg for mercy. He was expecting death. He knew that that was what he deserved.

When your circumstances are beyond your control, the enemy will tell you there is no hope and will try and paint death as the only route to peace. If we can only remember he is a liar.

There is a monumental difference in eternal life and eternal torment.

Realizing everything we face, everything in every moment of our day, is an eternity issue; that it's all about eternity, puts everything in perspective.  The smallest, most seemingly insignificant detail we face, can have far reaching effects when used by God.

From the storms God uses to turn us around from paths that are leading us to destruction; to the fiery trials meant to refine us into His image; nothing occurs in our life that is without His knowledge or which He is unable to turn around for His glory!

Understanding that nothing, happens to us that is not filtered through the fingers of a loving Father, also helps put the trials into perspective.

Bottom line: God IS in control.

Each heartache, that the enemy causes, intending to take your eyes off of your walk, is really an opportunity for growth!  What the devil means for evil God means for good! (Genesis 50:20)

If you look "at the center of your storm, you will find your idol!"(Joyce Green)

Recognize it and cast it down! Put Jesus back on His rightful place; on the throne of your heart in repentance! Don't buy into the lies of the enemy and lose your focus!

Do not get distracted from the race!

Repent! Finish well!

Even so - MARANATHA!
