"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." (John 10:27 NKJV)
Who are you following?
To whose voice do you listen?
Are you really a Christian or are you deceived?
"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24 NKJV)
The following is part of the definition of "Christian" in Wikipedia:
"It is also used as a label to identify people who associate with the cultural aspects of Christianity, irrespective of personal religious beliefs or practices."
Someone who is labeled a Christian but is not, would be a "false Christ" and they are in abundance today! If you go to church yet have not made Jesus your LORD and Savior in word and deed, then you would be, in fact, a false christ(ian).
It takes more than "accepting an invitation" and coming down the aisle to "ask Jesus into your heart" to be a Christian. The majority of people who believe they are heaven bound, because the preacher told them they were saved will be shocked to find themselves in hell, at the end of their life!
"Therefore by their fruits you will know them. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." (Matthew 7:20-21 NKJV)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23a NKJV)
Are people able to see Christ in you?
"I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily." (I Corinthians 15:31 NKJV)
"For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." (Romans 8:13 NKJV)
"Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." (Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV)
Are you living like Christ or the world?
Are you offended by these questions?
Then you need to learn to identify the voices you hear, for not every thought in your head is yours!
There are actually three voices that you hear; the devil's is the loudest and most persistent. (In fact he never shuts up!) Then there's the "still, small voice" of The Holy Spirit. (You HAVE to listen for Him!) Lastly, there is your voice; the voice that agrees with one or the other voices!
The voice of the enemy is mostly accusatory and only encourages evil. His speaks ill of you and even those you love. When you speak the words he whispers in your head, you take ownership of them and give them power. His words put into motion the "works of the flesh", for not one act is done without the thought first. That is why we are told to take every thought captive!
“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”
(II Corinthians 10:5 NKJV)
Learn to identify the enemy's voice and counter with The Word, as Jesus did.
"Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”" (Matthew 4:3-4 NKJV)
I read recently that the devil is not afraid of sheep, but of the Shepherd.
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.” (John 10:14 NKJV)
If you have been listening and following the wrong voice, repent, and purpose in your heart to listen for His voice!
You speak the Word of God and let it change you - so that when people look at you, they see Jesus!
Repent!
Die daily!
Crucify your flesh!
Walk in Love!
Even so - MARANATHA!

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” (Romans 13:11-14 NKJV)
