Brethren If Any

‬‬“Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” James‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Q - How does one who has heard The Truth, wander away?

A - Easily

It's hard to follow the narrow way!
‬‬
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You would think that we would all believe the same thing; be on the same page, but nothing could be further from the truth!

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.” Proverbs‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The only way to KNOW if you have the seeds of Truth is to know The Word! And the only way to KNOW is to read your Bible!

Most "Christians" have never read their Bible, in its entirety! Most read it like they are at a buffet table, picking and choosing their favorite food. That's why they are so easily deceived! They trust the big name ministries to give them their truth. Oh, they may drop a scripture occasionally, however we are too busy/lazy to verify that it has been used in the proper context.

The devil has been twisting The Word of God since the garden and continues to this day.
‬‬
“So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We start the race well, when we make a decision for Christ. But immediately the enemy comes in to set a detour, introducing information that may or may not be Truth. Often the information is in The Bible, but is not as intended, or leads down a rabbit trail. It's not the narrow way!

“Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” Galatians‬ ‭5:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It is a matter of life and death that you keep your eyes on Jesus, and the only way to do that is to read your Bible, and study It for yourself. And in my analysis, Study Guides are allowing someone else to study for you! You do your own work! See for yourself!

I see more people on the broad path because it is easy, than the narrow path, that is hard! I feel like a salmon swimming upstream or a person shouting into a storm!

Please, please, please, pick up your Bible and read it, and let God speak to you, Himself! If you don't understand it, ask God to open your eyes! He will! He's just chomping at the bit to talk to you, Himself! And you won't need an interpreter.

 •  Don't follow a person/ministry. Follow Jesus!
 •  The name of Jesus is above all names.
 •  recognize the sin in your heart and repent and don't settle for a sugarcoated gospel.

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Yes, it's a hard road, but it's not about this life, it's about eternity!  The Gospel message is offensive. You will not make many friends along the way, but neither did Jesus.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I pray that God opens your eyes, if you have wandered off the narrow way! If the Holy Spirit has been nagging you, please turn back!

Repent of the doubt that has been sown in your heart; that you have allowed The Truth to be watered down, and put your eyes back on Jesus!

You do not have to buy tickets to follow Jesus! And it will not look like the world, with loud music and pyrotechnics. The only name you want to follow/know is "Jesus!"

He will meet you right where you are this morning!

Repent while there is still time.

Even so - MARANATHA!
