Reading Psalms 91

Reading Psalms 91 this morning. One of my favorites and so appropriate for today, after so many tragedies of late.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Most of those who go to church believe they are dwelling in that secret place. The problem is - they do not abide.

Dwelling and abiding implies taking up residence in a place. Changing your habitation requires effort on your part. It means moving stuff out.

When we choose to make our residence with The LORD, we no longer care for the things of the world. The things we held dear, pale in comparison of the things of God. We care about what He cares about, when we abide with Him.

“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When He is your refuge and fortress; when you put your trust totally in Him, you have complete rest. If you have fear or worry, then you are not trusting, but are in fact in unbelief.

Fear and worry are demons or spirits. If you indeed wish to move into God's refuge you have let go of the sins that give them a legal right to be there. Ask God to show you and repent of the sins hidden in your heart and then repent, also, of your unbelief.  Fear and worry denote Unbelief and says, "God you do not have the power to take care of me or those I love, so I will!"

Unbelief makes you god!

“Because you have made . . . “
By walking in love, walking in forgiveness, walking in repentance the following to occurs:

“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:3-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you obey The LORD your God, blessings happen. When you do not, curses happen!

Today we no longer can afford to play church! It's time we "be" the church and obey His every word!

"Unbelief says: I will lose more by my obedience than I will by my continued disobedience." Paris Reidhead

Those who obey can count on the following promises:

“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” Psalms‬ ‭91:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Repent while there is still time. You are not promised tomorrow.

Even so - MARANATHA!
