Behold The Lord’s

“Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do these scriptures pierce your heart?

They should!

If they don't - then your heart is hardened!

For even when forgiven, and covered by the Blood, in reading the above you should remember and weep for the sins you have been forgiven!

If you think you have no sin, you are deceived! If you mistake conviction for condemnation then you are in error!

Yes, Jesus died for your sins, but before they can be forgiven they have to be acknowledged! You have to know you are a sinner! Then you have to repent in your heart and turn from your wicked ways! For the cleansing to take place you have to know you are dirty! You not only have to desire your sin to be gone but you have to choose to leave it behind!

When Jesus truly takes His rightful place as ruler of your life, living like the world is the farthest thing from your mind! Your desire is to please Him, not your own flesh!

If that is not your mindset, then you are either in a backslidden state or have never truly been saved!

You can't have it both ways. You will love Him or you love the world!

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I know, for I lived that life for most of my 60+ years! Going to church every time the doors opened! Singing in the choir; oh I was a good person, but I was so in love with the things of this world! Job, home, kids, great husband, I always thought about them MUCH MORE than I thought about pleasing God! I thought counting my blessings was living for Him! I treasured the gift - NOT The Giver! I would say things like, "I love my family with all my heart!" THEN I read the following:

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I thought idols were wood or stone! I was so wrong! I put my family before God! I gave them my all, and whatever was leftover, God got! My idols were flesh and blood, and that is sin!

Knowing what sin is and acknowledging it, is the first step! Then comes the choice of turning away from your sin!

Like Abraham did with Isaac we must put our loved ones on the altar! (Genesis 22) Leaving them there is so hard, but stay they must! Our families are what we worry most about and not giving God control is sin! He already has control, but our laying down our will (control), and letting Him be God in their lives is the turning away from our sin! Continuing to worry is sin, because it shows a lack of Trust in God!

Sins (we all have to face and repent of) are unbelief, fear, worry, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, judgements, pride, criticism, lust, resentments, etc!

I recognized my sins, humbled myself and met with brothers and sisters I trusted and confessed (James 5:16)and repented of my sins! I forgave and the freedom and healing came! The peace, promisedwas amazing, the joy unspeakable! I no longer have fear!

And yes, sometimes I fall, but that's when God's grace and mercy holds me! He then shines a light on my error and I repent!

That's how we walk out our own salvation; that's how we overcome! We stay on the narrow path with our eyes on Him! He is our goal! He is our prize!

I never knew all of this, until someone explained it to me.

Now I've passed it on to you!

Repent before it's too late!

Even so - MARANATHA!
