They Have Not

“They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A deceived person does not know he is deceived!

“He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When one refuses to turn from his sin; when one refuses to obey The Word of God; when one listens to preaching that points him to repentance, yet refuse to repent, his heart becomes hard; deceived!

He can make his god in the image of a creature, or a man or a combination of both, or in his own image, but it is not God! It does not require anything from him yet, but it will in the end! Man's god's require his time, his resources, his family and his very soul! And in the end he has nothing, because he missed it!

You see achievement and recognition is not what this life is about. And the god you serve is a lie. You are deceived. Any happiness you attain/obtain does not fulfill or satisfy.

Without repentance and obedience and submission to The Word and making Jesus Christ the principle purpose of your life, everything you are doing (or will do) will be for naught; futile! Nothing lasts. You can't take it with you. You will soon be forgotten. It's to no avail!

However, a new creation submitted to following Jesus, instead of one's own desires, brings joy and peace and hope in a world that offers nothing eternal.

All of my life, I tried everything imaginable to find happiness. Nothing satisfied; except for the moment, then more was necessary, yet happiness would not stay. When I gave up the world for a relationship with Jesus; accepting His sacrifice in payment for my sins and was reunited with The Father, my purpose for living was made known to me. My searching was over. As I purpose to walk in obedience to His commandments and repent when I miss it, I am quickly forgiven. The narrow road, Jesus calls us to walk on is difficult, but The Promiseis worth the cost. (Matt 7:14)

I remember believing like the world. I remember believing like the church that is asleep. I remember when He opened my eyes!

I, now, WILL remember Him in all I do! I humbly submit to His plan and purpose for this life of mine. I will walk in love. I will walk in forgiveness. I will walk in repentance, for I miss it often. But I rest in confidence in Him! (Phil 1:6)

What is His plan for me?

To be His eyes, His mouth, His arms, His feet to a dying world and to proclaim The Good News, wherever He directs my steps!

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬
