Well, He did it again! ❤️
He gave me just what I needed, when I needed it!
He knew!
He knew I would fail my test yesterday; that I would fall and drag my weary self home to lick my wounds! He knew I would get up and turn to His Word, in obedience, and once again He assured me, comforted me, held me like the baby that I am, and dried my tears!
"“Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, The LORD of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. For the LORD has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God." (Isaiah 54:4-6 NKJV)
Shame comes tailor-made! It doesn't matter who you are or what kind of life you have lived, the devil knows what button to push to accuse you! When closely examined we all are found wanting! It's only through repentance we are made clean; that The Blood can cleanse us of all unrighteousness; remove our shame!!!! He has made a way for us and we must walk in that Way!
"“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the LORD, your Redeemer." (Isaiah 54:7-8 NKJV)
THAT "mere moment" feels like a lifetime! What a dry desolate place it is and for a good reason! He doesn't want us to camp there and makes it where we don't want to be there either! We have that tendency! Rather than repent we adjust to our surroundings and hope for the best! Then when He makes it worse in an effort to move us from our complacency, we just hunker down, like the donkey that won't budge no matter what!
Why He puts up with us, a continually rebellious people, is beyond reason! He calls it grace! We call it amazing, once we come face to face with what we deserve yet find Love!
"For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you." (Isaiah 54:10 NKJV)
His kindness!
His mercy!
His grace!
His peace!
For His Sake!
Once again thanking You LORD, that Your exceedingly great and precious promises are new every morning! And You have restored to me the joy of Your salvation! (II Peter 1:4 & Psalm 5:12)
