For That

“; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against Him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16:8‬b ‭KJV‬‬

How often do we think that our murmuring, our grumbling and complaining, is against the LORD?

Our unhappiness; our displeasure; our griping which is put out there; directed at no one is actually received by God as an accusation against Him! We are saying in effect, "You have not done!" "Your promises have failed." "You are not who You said You are!"

The enemy, is whispering those lies in your ears, and you, when you speak them, come into agreement with him, accusing God; just like the children of Israel. They murmured against God for 40 years and God let them die in the wilderness. Only Caleb and Joshua went into the promise land. They gave a good report!

We are all about "promises"; we claim them every chance we have. But did you know that every promise comes with a condition? To receive them, we have to meet certain criteria!

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” ‭Exodus‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

"If thou" - then!

It's not just speaking the promise and standing fast! It's not just watching your words; it's about obedience.

It's about loving God more than our creature comforts! It's about doing what He says instead of what we want to do! It's about putting His Will above our will. It's about seeking Him with our whole heart in every matter! It's about making Him our principal purpose in life. That's making Him LORD!

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.”  1 John‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My prayer this morning:
Father God, I humbly come to You this morning, seeking forgiveness for my murmuring! I confess, Father, that yesterday I grumbled and complained, and my heart was not right! I repent LORD of my impatience, of eye rolling, of not being grateful for all You provide, and I thank You for Your mercy and Your grace! Your Word says "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy! I choose to extend mercy today, for I so need Your mercy, LORD! Thank You for Your Word that shows me The Way and I choose today to walk in it! In Jesus' precious name I pray!

Even so - MARANATHA!
