Isn't It Amazing

Isn't it amazing how somethings never change and how others things do?

Here are 2 things that never do:
 - The Holiness of God
 - The evilness of satan

I'm once again back in Genesis and read about the fall of man:
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:1, 4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I see him still working today, deceiving all who are willing to compromise.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The state of one's heart is reflected in ones willingness to compromise. That's what the woman did in the garden. She compromised the Word of God. Her lack of obedience; her compromise let in the darkness. And oh how the darkness grows daily. Woman was deceived, but the man willingly followed her, choosing to side with his mate rather than be obedient to God. He compromised his integrity. His choice was evil over Holiness.

In The Word we are told:
“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” ‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But holiness is hard!

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew‬ ‭7:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And compromise is easy.

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”
‭‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭KJV

Deception is great.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Those who take a stand for obedience and Holiness will face strong opposition.

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” John‬ ‭15:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are called to separation and there is to be division. It's the hating part, that clarifies. Those who compromise will hate the ones who refuse, whereas the ones who refuse will hate the darkness that brings about the compromise!

“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:51-53‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Everyday we will face temptation to make peace with evil; compromise. Here is where "standing" takes front and center!

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All we can do is pray for those who are captured, and love them where they are.

We stand in the gap, and pray God opens their eyes, opens their ears, and changes their heart! Pray God brings them to repentance. He is faithful!

Even so - MARANATHA!
