“To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder: Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” Job 28:25-28 KJV
God is a God of order! When He created the universe, the earth and everything therein, He established laws governing every facet! Even to gravity, the mating of species, and even the tides. All have guidelines or laws that God put into place. Order!
When man rebelled against God, God set into motion a plan to bring man back to Him; ending in the Cross.
But man is born in rebellion and continues to be stiff-necked, even today in our "Age of Enlightenment"! Ha!
God gave us His law to show us what He considers evil! His Laws, His Word teaches us right from wrong; shows us where others throughout Its pages missed it, and points us to His Son Jesus Christ and The Cross! However, there is only salvation through repentance of our sins, and the shedding of blood! Jesus Christ IS the perfect sacrifice!
What is missing today is The Fear Of The LORD!
There is no wisdom! There is no fear of The One Who can send us to hell! There is no understanding and there is no departing from evil!
“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”
Job 28:28 KJV
The church now calls evil good and good evil - just as the world does!
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20 KJV
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 KJV
However, do we love?
When we hold onto unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, are we "loving"? No!
So we break The Law!
We sin!
Unless, we repent, and turn from our wicked ways. There is no sacrifice for us!
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14-15 KJV
“Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. Turn from evil!
