Hear Now This

‬“Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:21-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart” - sounds like it was written to us, today! We turn to God when things get so bad they will affect our lifestyle. Then when the danger has passed, we go back to our wicked ways. Our corruption and our rebellion knows no bounds! We claim the blessings of God with no intention of obeying His Word, and are so blind we don't know we are living under the curse!‬‬

“Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.” Jeremiah‬ ‭5:25-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” Jeremiah‬ ‭5:29-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Michael Boldea, Jr said it best: "A stay of execution does not a pardon make."‬‬

If you, two weeks ago, were on your face, praying for our nation, don't stop now! That was just a skirmish; the war is not won!

We must turn with our whole hearts back to The LORD! Going on, like before is not change! All of our good, is nothing when we have pride in our heart! We must all pray for God to open our eyes (to the deception brought on by our stiffnecked and rebellious hearts) and to open our ears (to hear His still small voice in the midst of all the chaos in the world) and to change our hearts (to take away our heart of stone and give us a heart that desires Him and Him alone).

My prayer this morning: Father turn us back to You! You, who created the universe with a Word; create in us a clean heart. We humble ourselves and surrender to Your will! Take away our heart of stone! Show us our sins, so that we may repent! Our desire is to please You, and not ourselves. We ask in The Name above all names; Jesus Christ our LORD, who IS The King of kings and LORD of lords.

Even so - MARANATHA!
