And He Went

“And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.”

“And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.”

If you are in great turmoil; troubled by every adversity, turning to God with your whole heart will bring you rest. 

He is the same today as back in Asa's day! 

When we turn from Him and forsake Him, to follow our own way, instead of His way, He forsakes us too! 

What makes us think, that we can meet God on our own terms? That if we don't like His way; He will bend? 

For a long time the church, just like Israel, has been without The One True God (worshiping a god made in its own image) because it has been without a teaching priest (preachers of Truth), without knowledge of The Law. If you don't have knowledge of what sin is, you do not know to repent! If you do not understand there are consequences for breaking God's Law, then you don't see relevance in not sinning. 

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” Acts‬ ‭17:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we seek Him, we will find Him! 

The times demand complete and total surrender to The One True God! No longer do we have the luxury of a half-hearted relationship with our Creator. Things are only going to get worse! It's past time to get serious about your walk! 

Pray God opens your eyes, opens your ears, changes your heart and brings you to repentance.
