Saying Father

“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” ‭Luke‬ ‭22:42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the ministry of Jesus, this was the bottom line; and it must be ours too!

Our lives must be lived in submission to our Heavenly Father, and our prayers must reflect the same.

So what happens when we will not submit?

“And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our prayers go unanswered?
We do not prosper?
Darkness and torment prevail?

Jesus prayed "Not My will!" He surrendered His "want" for what God wanted. If He had chosen otherwise I would not be writing this and you would not be reading; everything would be different. Jesus' submission was the only way to "life" for mankind!

Our submission is every bit as critical for our life, for without it is only death.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There can be only one.

And He will not share His authority; He will not share His throne.

When we refuse to bow our will; when we insist on our own way; then we make ourselves to be god. We set our desires and wants above His and commit treason. We in fact declare He is not our LORD!

Our lives, every moment of everyday, must be walked in His Way, or we are walking contrary to Him. That is indeed the broad way! The narrow way is following in His Son's footsteps; submitting to the will of the Father.

If we live our lives with no consideration to the will of God, yet we believe we are saved and heaven bound, then we are deceived, and are indeed destined for hell.

Yes, there is mercy and grace for when we fail; repentance is how we get back on narrow road. Repentance is submission.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we pray, seeking God for a need or a desire, it must be with a humble heart!

If we come boldly to "throne of grace" it is only through the power of our LORD JESUS CHRIST! We have nothing of ourselves that we may boast it, for our righteousness is as filthy rags. Our audacity to come barging into the throne room, with our prideful demands, is only superseded by Satan's pride!

If we do not obey Him, or submit our will to Him, He is not our LORD! His enemy is our lord.

You might have said a few words at an altar years ago; you may have been in church and even taught Sunday school; you may even be ordained; but if your heart has not changed and you have not surrendered your will to His, then your salvation is in question!

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Matthew‬ ‭7:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You can even "do" the right things, but with the wrong heart!

You must surrender!

You must give up your right to be right; to have what your want; to live your life the way you want to live. You MUST die, to live.

He, Jesus Christ died for you, now you must die for Him. There is no other way to live in a Covenant relationship with Him. Without this there is no sacrifice for your sins and you will go to hell!

This is not the "sugarcoated" gospel most churches these days teach, but most have a different Jesus.(2 Corinthians 11:4) The only way you will know the Truth is by reading your Bible.

Please examine your heart and repent. Time is so short, we must get this right! Eternity hangs on our decision; willfully lay down your will. Surrender.

It will be the best decision you have ever made!

Even so - MARANATHA!
