Has your world been "turned upside down" by Jesus?
That's what He does! HE changes everything, when you surrender to Him! It's not what you do or don't do, but what HE DOES in you! You are incapable of cleaning yourself up to be good enough for God! It takes Jesus giving you a new heart and turning your world upside down!
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26 KJV
All week long the following words have echoed in my mind: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Acts 16:30b KJV
Does that resonate in your heart?
Is THAT your heart cry?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31b KJV
Only He has the power to save us and change us! Our believing on Him and surrender of our will to Him, gives Him the authority to make us and mold us into His image, so that we can be His voice, and His hands and feet in this perverse world! We become His light in this present darkness!
Surrender is the Key! In repentance and obedience to Him we become His, to do as He wishes!
When we don't surrender, but continue to live as we always have; in pursuit of the lusts of the flesh, caring for the things of the world, then He has NOT "turned our world upside down"!
If you look and walk and think like "the world" then you are of the world! You are following the god of this world!
When you make Jesus the primary purpose of your life, then THAT surrender makes you walk and talk and think like HIM!
If you are tired of being sick and tired and are ready to give God the authority to change everything, then pray this prayer:
* Dear LORD Jesus, I confess that You are the Son of God and I submit to You and make You LORD of my life. I confess that I have sinned against You and I repent of my lying, stealing, hatred, deceit, bitterness, adultery, being critical, grumbling, lust, murder, blasphemy, drunkenness, and sexual immorality, anger, judgements, gossip and slander that went out of my mouth, that exposed that my heart was full of evil. LORD I repent of these sins and any other the Holy Spirit has convicted me of. I plead the blood and the finished work of Calvary over my life. LORD, I choose with my will to forgive those who have hurt me, and please empower me to make restitution to those I have hurt and offended. LORD Jesus, I come to your throne of mercy asking that You wash me with the water of the Word. Clothe me with your goodness and give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to perceive your unsearchable riches. And I submit to a new law, the Law of Love, and of faith in Christ Jesus!
