If you worry and are in doubt and unbelief whether God can, or is able to perform on your behalf, maybe you worship another god.
Maybe your god is made in your own image; what your idea of who god should be; who you hope he is! A god who gives and gives but never requires! One who will be there to bless but never curse! One who will bail you out and then leave you alone, till the next time you have need of him!
One who does not exist!
“Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.” Job 15:31 KJV
If it has no power, then maybe it is an idol! You see an idol is something you put above God! It doesn't have to be made of wood or stone! All it has to do is be something you worship that is not God! A wise person once said, "at the center of your storm, you will find your idol!"
“But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.” Psalms 31:14 KJV
The more you get to know God, the less questions you have for Him!
The devil, in his quest to become god, questioned everything about God, thinking in his heart he could do it better! “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Isaiah 14:13-14 KJV
His heart was raised up and he pitted himself against God!
One who is submitted to God; one who serves The Almighty, Creator of the universe, Maker of all things, knows his place and is happy to let God be God!
“For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.” Psalms 135:5-6 KJV
I personally would not want His job! The more I learn His attributes, the greater understanding I have of how little I know!
“But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.”
Job 23:13-14 KJV
He alone is in control, and my peace comes from knowing everything is in His more than capable hands!
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5-13 KJV
When I came to the realization that my need for control was a sin and that it accused God of not being capable of taking care of my needs, I was overwhelmed with shame! I had to repent and seek forgiveness for calling God a liar and not trusting Him! When I fully submitted, I received the "peace that passes all understanding!" But I had to let it go; hands totally off! I cast down my idol, to lift Him up; where He belongs!
He is God, and I am not!
I just rest!
THAT makes me happy!
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3 KJV
